"A Step Closer to Purity Part 2"
This series reflects my journey back to the roots of my creative expression, driven by the fundamental question: “Why did I start creating?”
Rhinestones serve as a symbolic motif throughout the work, representing refined diamonds—a metaphor for my return to the essence of my artistic purpose and a renewed commitment to creating with intentionality. The close-up portraits emphasize the importance of self-reflection, a process akin to facing the “man in the mirror.” This introspective act is portrayed as a crucial step toward achieving purity in art.
This series also marks a pivotal moment in my growth. It forms part of a larger journey I began years ago when I felt the need to approach my practice from a more intentional standpoint. Now, it stands as a milestone, a visual and personal testament to how far I’ve come in refining both my craft and my understanding of my creative purpose, since creating closer to purity part 1.
Through this body of work, I confront my inner truths and celebrate a deeper reconnection with the motivations that first inspired my artistic journey.
