A GOD IN A FORM NEVER GIVEN / COLOUR THEORY
"A GOD IN A FORM NEVER GIVEN" ( 2024 )
This body of work, titled by my younger brother Orifha, explores the concept of time, surrendering to the process, and the interplay of color theory in shaping and refining a visual language.
The theme of time emphasizes responding to curiosity, probing, and experimenting over an extended period. By sitting with the work long enough, I surrendered to the organic process of creation and development, allowing this visual language to emerge naturally. This journey taught me the value of patience, a principle often at odds with the instant gratification championed by popular culture today.
Color theory played a central role, influencing how colors interact and communicate within this visual dialogue. The result is a marriage between theory and intuition, revealing the profound ways in which experimentation and surrender can coalesce into something meaningful
Yours sincerely
